Happy New Year 2016!

New Year's Eve is a time to celebrate successes and to look forward to the promise of the New Year. Below are some safety tips to help you start 2016 withour regrets:

  • Transportation: Before having your first drink, make sure you have plans for the end of the party, whether this means crashing on your friend's couch or having a sober driver (friend or taxi) drive you home.
  • Safety in numbers: Go out with a group and stay with the group.
  • Eat dinner: A full stomach will slow down the effects of alcohol.
  • Moderation: Drinking a glass of water between alcoholic beverages will help prevent dehydration (and the dreaded hangover). It will also help you from becoming too intoxicated.

Remember, a commitment to Safety is a commitment to be proactive in your decisions and actions. By choosing to plan ahead you can enjoy a fun-filled evening. Happy New Year and all the best in 2016!
